Always interested in robotics, Patrick spent the majority of his childhood building small robots. As he got older, he started experimenting with larger projects, including many exosuits. Running out of money, he decided he needed to raise funds by taking it from a nearby bank. To help him, he used the last of his resources to put together a large flying beetle to help his endeavor.
